Provotics is a computational biology project building research systems around uncertainty, provenance, and explicit limits. Its flagship, Provenance-2, estimates tumor site of origin from one bulk RNA-seq profile.

Who operates Provotics

Provotics is currently a research and educational project operated by Kareem Badran in North Carolina, United States. Kareem Badran is the controller for account, access, support, and website-contact data described in the Privacy Policy. Provotics does not present itself as a hospital, clinical laboratory, medical practice, or regulated medical-device manufacturer.

Provenance-2 is the only system currently presented for invite-only pilot access. Prospect-1 is a research preview available locally via Lab Assistant for granted accounts; Science Workbench for Claude and Lab Assistant remain research previews. There is no public advisory board, institutional partnership, customer roster, or independently verified deployment list to disclose today. Those claims will be added only when the underlying relationship is real and permission to publish has been obtained.

Mission

Make the signal in the transcriptome legible, without hiding uncertainty

Gene expression contains useful signals about tumor biology, but no single transcriptomic model supplies a complete molecular account or replaces validated assays. Provotics focuses first on a bounded site-of-origin task, then keeps exploratory subtype, immune, and target-context signals labeled according to their evidence.
