Lab Assistant
A local research workspace on your Mac.
Lab Assistant runs on your machine and calls Provotics models as tools, including the Prospect-1 research preview (prospect_design) when that product is granted. By default it stays private. Cloud AI, literature/web search, and the code interpreter are separate opt-ins. Research use only. Not a medical device.

What leaves the machine
Lab Assistant runs on your Mac. By default it stays private: analysis and file browsing happen locally, and nothing is sent to Provotics or a model provider until you choose that. Cloud AI, literature/web search, and the code interpreter are separate opt-ins. If you enable a cloud model, your question and the tool findings from that session (including any text the assistant reads from files you ask it to open) leave under your own API key; your raw data files are not uploaded. The download is an unsigned engineering build: macOS will warn before open.
Install
First open
- Unzip the download.
- Double-click Provotics Lab Assistant.
- If macOS blocks it: right-click → Open, or System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
- First launch installs dependencies (a few minutes), then opens in your browser.
Checksum: SHA-256. Update manifest: latest.json (Ed25519-signed). In the app sidebar, use Check for updates / Update to install newer builds with one click.

Approved accounts
After approval, signature, and a Lab Assistant product grant, the account hub can issue a license and the same download URL.
